High-speed tits

Now winter has arrived, especially with the snow from last weekend, tits are very active. Blue tits are most abundant by far. A good opportunity to attempt high-speed shots of them in flight. Below you can see the result.

The Kung Fu postures of the lemurs (sifakas) I photographed on Madagascar are picked up by two British online newspapers titled 'Bruce Lee-murs'. Very amusing!
Workshop IR-light traps

On March 17th 2012 Paul in cooperation with Buteo Outdoor Supplies organises a workshop on infra-red light trap photography.
Using this technique a infra-red light beam is used which has to be crossed by your subject. As a result a photo is taken. Lighttraps are used to photograph elusive or nocturnal animals. Another important application is high-speed photography. Here fast movements of subjects are frozen.

New fish photos

Last year I have made many new photos of (Dutch) fresh water fish. This is a time consuming and intensive process. Rarely it is possible to shoot more than one species at a time. Each time the result is too little to present as a news item. Therefore I collected some of the photos from last year. These are presented below. Website makeover

People who visited this website recently will notice some differences. That's right. I've given the website a makeover. Adjustments in appearance and the top banner have given the site a more fresh look. Furthermore I have updated the portfolio. I have added new images and removed old ones. Also I have replaced some categories. The carrousel on the homepage is partially refreshed as well. As far as I'm concerned, the website is good to go for some time to come.
