Have you ever tried to identify mice, shrews or voles? Not every mouse in your house is a domestic mouse. Not every vole outside is a field vole. To help identify them the Dutch Mammal Society and Naturalis Biodiversity Center have developed a key to identify all Dutch species. You can look at the species or make a selection based on certain characteristics. Try it.
The images that are used are (all but one) made by me, often on a white background. Alle animals were photographed alive.
